The student's award, referral or purchase order must name the approved support and hours. DSA and SAAS eligibility is decided by the relevant funding body—not by UMO.

England, Wales and Northern Ireland - DSA Rates
For students funded through Disabled Students' Allowances in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, UMO's current DSA rates apply where the support has been approved in the student's award. Therefore, the right rate depends on the approved NMH support type.

Remote and In-Person NMH Support
UMO delivers NMH support both remotely and in person where available. Remote support is delivered in real time and is available UK-wide for university and college students with approved DSA or SAAS-funded support. As a result, students can often access support even when local in-person availability is limited.
SpLD and autism/ASC study skills support can be discussed for remote delivery across the UK, with in-person support available in London where appropriate. Specialist notetaking and assistive technology training are currently London services.

Remote NMH support across the UK
Yes. UMO provides real-time remote NMH support for students across the UK. However, in-person support may also be available where location and support arrangements allow.
