UMO has a decade of experience working with employees with autism or ADHD challenges. The coaching aims to help the employee build their confidence and unlock their motivation by overcoming their barriers and understanding their strengths.

UMO’s Specialist Autism and ADHD Coaches help to guide, develop and recognise the employee’s abilities so they are able to achieve their potential in the workplace. The sessions focus on practical support helping students understand how their neurodiverse condition impacts their productivity, wellbeing and work-life balance.

What is Specialist Mentoring & Coaching
Our experienced Specialist Coaches have a detailed understanding of the needs of employees with Autism and ADHD at work.
The Specialist Coach supports the employee to make the transition into their workplace, giving them a sense of belonging within the work environment.
The coach can help the employee develop key skills to help with social interaction, understand the norms of the workplace, access services and learn to advocate for themselves.
What Do Sessions Involve?
Sessions are designed to be adaptable to each individual, to provide consistent, ongoing support with practical strategies. Sessions are with an experienced and accredited mental health professional. Sessions are usually weekly for 30-60 minutes and be can be in-person or remote (online).
In identifying these barriers, the Specialist Coach works with the employee to implement strategies that allows them to better manage their emotional state and wellbeing, separate out experiences that are personal rather than specific to their workplace, improve time and workload management, and overall improve the workplace and social experience.
Sessions can be offered as a one off, but are usually most effective where several sessions are scheduled over a set amount of time. This enables the Mental Health Mentoring to become embedded into every day working practice.
